Module content | The five-year programme on veterinary professional life contributes to the development of life skills to enable veterinarians to be consummate professionals capable of dealing with the diverse challenges of professional and everyday life. The VPL 101 module provides an introduction to human-animal relationships in general and animal ethics and welfare in particular. Students are exposed to diversity in the veterinary profession and the concepts of difference, bias and stereotyping. Professional communication and mental wellness skills are introduced. Community-based learning involves excursions where students are exposed to some of the practical and clinical aspects of veterinary science. |
